Information You Submit
Search-form entries, such as a name, phone number, or address, go to the outside provider that supplies results. New Rochelle Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review such information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited data helps operate the reference, address technical issues, measure traffic, and improve the material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Record Links
Links lead to Westchester and New York record portals, library collections, archives, and external search services. The privacy terms of those destinations control information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed only when valid legal process requires it or as otherwise required by law.
Security Practices
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as needed for the purposes stated here. New York's SHIELD Act, General Business Law ยง899-bb, concerns safeguards for private information held by covered persons and businesses. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or profiles maintained by this site.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor supplied information so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, correct, or delete personal data that a website retains. No enacted New York comprehensive consumer-privacy deletion statute with a universal opt-out was verified in the research used here. Because this reference retains very little, requests generally involve checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by New York, Westchester County, or New Rochelle custodians are outside our control and require a request to that office.
Policy Changes
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continuing to use the reference after publication means you accept the updated policy.
